Why I created QuickR.one?

I was helping my wife put together a dance studio event flyer, and we needed a QR code on it. Easy, in theory. We were rushing to get the print order in, but the actual link was not finalized yet, because of course it was not.
I specifically wanted a QR code I could update after it was printed, and wow, basically every option I found wanted me to commit with subscriptions, plans, and upsells like I was signing up for a gym membership. We ended up paying for a subscription we did not really need, then immediately added a cancel-next-month reminder so we would not get charged again.
Ever since then, the engineer part of my brain has not let it go. I kept thinking this should not require a long-term relationship. I am totally fine paying a small amount based on usage, servers are not free, but I want to use it when I need it, walk away, and come back months later without dealing with another subscription dance.
So I built QuickR.one. You can start using it right away without paying anything, and if you are out of credits, or just not paying, your QR still works. It simply goes through a lightweight intermediate page before sending people to the final URL. Maybe that page becomes ad-supported in the future, maybe not. For now, the goal is simple: dynamic QR codes without the commitment.
Try it and let us know if there were any issues. I hope this helps with that same QR itch for you too, without the usual subscription headache.
